Ellport has a voluntary recycling program. Two blue bins, both for paper and cardboard, are located next to the salt shed on Booster Way. Please obey the rules posted on the bins.

 

No dumping is allowed on Borough property. This includes leaves, ashes, compost, etc. Paper bags for the disposal of leaves, brush, and grass are available at the Borough office for $1.00 each. These bags can be left at the Borough Garage for disposal or picked up by a Borough employee.

 

Ellport has a burning ordinance which allows burning Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00AM - 7:00PM. No burning is permitted Sundays, Mondays, and holidays. Burning is not allowed on any street, alley, or sidewalk and must be at least ten feet away from any structure including fences. No hazardous or objectionable condition can result from the burning and no smoldering after hours is permitted.
